My Thoughts

After spending some time with the Zhiyun Molis X60 bi color RGB led light I have to admit that this is a really awesome product. I’m not just saying that because I was sent the light to review but I genuinely feel an appreciation for what this light brings to the table. It’s not a perfect light and I talk about its flaws in the YouTube video. I think I gave it a really fair and honest review. The thing I like best about this Molus X60 is the size and portability. I’m so happy to see a light that packs this much power in a form factor that can fit inside a jacket pocket or won’t take up a lot of space in a camera bag. As a content creator that’s something I can really appreciate. There are so many times when I want to bring a light with me but I don’t want the burden of size and weight in my bag. This light solves that problem and that’s what really gets me excited about it. I have my big studio lights for studio work and this will be my new on the go light for location shooting.

I usually shoot my video at 24p 1/50s so getting light to the sensor isn’t much of a problem. With photography on the other hand my shutter is easily 1/125s and higher. In my photography test I was really happy with the brightness offered by this light. It will be an option in my bag for those times I need more light at a wedding or location shoot. Light spread is its limitation but if all I need is upper body shots or a hair light to add depth to an image this Molus X60 could be the perfect piece of kit to enhance my photos with a little extra light.
