Greetings! My name is Vasko Obscura, and I'm a content creator with a strong passion for photography and videography. With 18 years of industry experience, I am a seasoned professional photographer. My interest in videography led me to start a YouTube channel where I honed my skills in video. Over time, my YouTube channel evolved into a space for sharing my passion with others and passing on the knowledge I've gained over the years.

I developed an interest in photography at a young age. My father was an architect but moonlighted as a photographer as a way to explore his creativity. As a boy he would take me with him on photo gigs. Being a part of the photographic process and experiencing it first-hand was always exciting for me. Sometimes we would go for walks and he would let me shoot with his camera. It was always a thrill to get to shoot with his camera and afterwards we would go over the photos and he would teach me about photography technique. That’s where my passion for photography started to develop. When My father retired he gave me his old Leica R4s, the camera that ignited my passion for photography. I still have the camera to this day. It always brings back good memories.

Photography has been an integral part of my life, starting with my father as a boy then with my involvement in the photography club during high school where I captured photos for the Year Books, to working as a professional freelance photographer. In high school, it was advertising photography that intrigued me the most. I spent hours analyzing advertisements in magazines, fascinated by how photos could influence people's emotions and desires for a product through the creation of a particular mood. With photography being an essential component of advertising, I pursued a communications degree in university, specializing in advertising. After university, I realized that I didn't want to work for an advertising agency and instead ventured into freelancing. I opened my photography business in 2005 and have been loving it ever since. Being an entrepreneur has its challenges but it also has some amazing rewards. Photography has been a lifelong passion and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to be doing something I truly love for a living.  

I’m a creative person by nature, I thrive on problem-solving and challenging myself by acquiring new skills. This makes it difficult for me to specialize in any particular genre of photography, as I enjoy shooting it all. As long as I have a camera in my hand and I am creating, I am fulfilled. Although I find all genres of photography interesting, weddings hold a special place in my heart. I think I have the most fun shooting weddings. They are so complex and dynamic and require a deep skillset to shoot effectively.I also love working with people and getting to know them so naturally shooting portraits is something I also really enjoy. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel to beautiful locations in the Caribbean and Europe for work, experiences that have enriched my photography experience. Since opening my photography business in 2005, I have honed my skills across a variety of genres, from weddings and events to portraits and product shots and so much more. My extensive and well-rounded skill set in photography is a source of pride for me and now I’m working hard on developing my video skills as well.. I’m more than confident that I am capable of shooting anything for my clients and I think that gives my clients a sense of assurance too.
