Real-World Testing: iPhone 16 Pro Max & Canon EOS R5
In my YouTube review, I put the Maono Wave T5 Mic to the test using two high-end devices: 📱 iPhone 16 Pro Max and 📷 Canon EOS R5. Overall I was very happy with how the mic preformed on both devices. If there was one negative that really stood out it was the AI noise reduction mode. I strongly suggest your don’t use it. It really changes the character of the audio you capture. To be honest you’re better off recording your audio in normal recording mode and then removing noise in your video editing software in post production. On a positive note it was so easy to switch from recording with my camera to my phone. It was as easy as turning the receivers on and off. The mic automatically links up to whichever receiver is turned on. And because I know what you’re thinking, you can’t transmit to two receivers at the same time which is too bad that could have been a great feature for redundancy.
