LIFX Z - THE PERFECT GIFT FOR THAT YOUTUBER
Happy Holidays! Welcome back to the channel in this video we’re going to be looking at what I think is the perfect Christmas gift for that Youtuber or Streamer that you know the LIFX Z strip. With their ultra bright and vivid colors the LIFX Z strip is a great addition to any YouTube set or stream room. Each strip has individually addressable lighting zones so you can program your lights to display the colors of your logo. It really helps with creating a visual brand with color if that’s what you’re into.
The LIFX system doesn’t require a hub so all you need is a Wi-Fi network (2.4ghz) and the app to get things going. If you get multiple lights they each have to be connected to your app and Wi-Fi network individually. If you change your Wi-Fi network name or password you’ll have to update all your lights as well.
I’ve tested a few different LED bulbs and overall I find the LIFX lights to be the best quality light out of the bunch. The richness of the color is amazing. The one place I feel LIFX needs to improve is their app. A lot of the smaller brands like Govee give you so many more lighting scenes and effects that really take the RGB light experience to the next level. For example Govee has 44 unique scenes that are spread across 4 categories LIFX on the other hand has 9 effects. The good news is LIFX can update their app with firmware so I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping they rollout some updates soon.
