7 Best Accessories for New Fuji X100VI Owners
The best accessories for your Fuji X100VI. If you've invested into the Fujifilm X100VI or X100V I'm sure you're loving your new camera. But the camera isn't fully water and dust sealed out of the box and it comes with a very slippery grip. You don't want to get dust on your sensor and I'm sure you don't want to drop your camera either so here is a video talking about 7 accessories you should buy to help protect your camera and improve your experience. Stay tuned for part two of this series where I go over more advanced accessories for you photographers with a higher skill level.
Screen Protector
Let’s be honest if you’re buying an X100 camera you’re probably going to slip it into a pocket and take it with you everywhere you go. The last thing you want to do is be looking at an annoying scratch on your screen whenever you take photos so the first accessory I recommend is a screen protector. I’ve had a JJC screen protector on my X100V since 2020 and have no complaints about it.

Weather Resistance
Right out of the box the X100V and X100VI are not fully weather sealed. Dust and water can get into the camera though the front of the lens. So you’re going to need a filter adapter and filter to make your camera fully weather sealed. Even if you’re not shooting in the rain dust can get into the camera and end up giving you sensor spots on your images. As mentioned in the video I have a JJC filter adapter + Lens hood. The adapter works great but the lens hood has become loose over the years and is unusable. Below I’ve put links to the JJC Filter Adapter + Lens hood and the Haoge filter adapter only.

Filter
To complete the weather sealing you’re going to need to put a filter on the front of the lens adapter. In my opinion the B+W UV filter is the best UV filter available. Good glass, good coatings and it has a brass housing. I’ll talk more about specialty filters in part two of this video series. Only thing to keep in mind when buying a filter is make sure it’s watertight. Cheap plastic filters and magnetic filters are not water tight.

Thumb Grip
I strongly recommend getting a thumb grip for your camera. The X100 series cameras are designed to be small and compact so there isn’t much of a front grip or rear grip. Adding a thumb grip significantly increases the stability of the camera in your hand. It’s well worth the investment.

Shutter Button
The shutter button adds a cool factor to your camera and user experience. It’s purely an aesthetic accessory and allows you to personalize your camera. There are a variety of options out there. Amazon seems to have the best variety of options and Temu.com has the cheapest price but few options.

Wrist Strap
For the same reasons I recommend getting a thumb grip I also recommend getting some sort of strap. Doesn’t matter if it’s a wrist strap or a regular camera strap. Even the Fuji strap that comes with the camera will do. This camera can slip out of your hands easily so some sort of strap is highly recommended. Fast SD Cards
This section only really applies to X100VI users. The high resolution 40 megapixel images along with the 6k video that this camera can output demand a fast card. Below are my two recommendations for fast SD cards compatible with the demands of the X100VI.
